We’re One Doughrection

High-fliers . . . One Direction celebrate

ONE DIRECTION’s bank balance is so big they won’t flinch when it comes to paying 5p for carrier bags.

The boyband’s latest financial figures are in — and they’re making £19,000 a day each.

HARRY STYLES, LIAM PAYNE, NIALL HORAN and LOUIS TOMLINSON made a £35million profit with their company 1D Media last year.

This is up ten times on the previous year’s total thanks to concerts, merchandise, sponsorship and recording.

Departed member ZAYN MALIK gets an equal slice of the cash-filled pie too as he only left the band in March.

The figures, published by Companies House yesterday, are sure to even put a smile on the face of the grumpy singer, who remains a shareholder in the firm.

A source said: “Cynics have always described 1D as SIMON COWELL’s cash cow and, seeing these results, it’s not hard to see why. There’s no question bosses work the lads hard, but the financial rewards are astonishing.

“The band get very well paid, so they can hardly complain. They are easily Syco’s biggest success story.”

After five years of solid work, 1D will go on their hiatus next year, which I revealed in August.

Clearly they all have the luxury of being in a position to help bankroll whatever solo projects they choose to follow.

Louis’s new record label can benefit from the influx of cash. Harry and Liam are likely to continue adding to their growing property portfolio — the latter has brought two this year.

And Niall could splash out on a pair of golf shoes with super grip to prevent any US Masters-style slip-ups like when he caddied for RORY McILROY in April.

Whatever they spend their money on will always be heavily scrutinised, just like their taxes.

But those laying into Facebook for it only paying £4,327 in corporation tax on a £105million turnover for 2014 can’t level the same accusations at 1D.

The band coughed up £8.2million, which is nearly 1,900 times more than social media giant.

That deserves a lot of likes.

Becks continues to rake it in

IT’S not just 1D who will be cracking open the champagne with their accountant this morning.

DAVID BECKHAM has also raked it in over the past year – despite giving up football more than two years ago.

The former England captain earned £6.5million through his company Footwork Productions, which made a £12.5million profit.

A source said: “David still makes a fortune from his endorsements – from the likes of Adidas,
Sainsbury’s and H&M. His earning power hasn’t waned just because he’s not playing football every week.”
