Five-year-old girl can send animals to sleep just by stroking them
MOST five year olds are considered talented if they can scribble their name with crayon but this little girl has a much more unique talent - the ability to put animals to sleep with just the touch of her hand.
Han Jiaying shocked viewers on Chinese TV earlier this year by hypnotising everything from a lizard to a dog and even a mini crocodile.
The five-year-old tot left the judges on talent show Amazing Chinese in awe as she placed each of the animals on their backs and stroked their stomach, sending them into a hypnotic daze.
Not all of Han's hypnotic trances went to plan, however, as one of her subjects - a little bird - flew away after being placed on its back. The girl eventually managed to track it down on the other end of the studio and completed the trance.
After a few minutes of sleep, all of the animals began bursting back to life one by one, much to the amazement of the audience.
While it seems little Han is something of a dog whisperer, The GB Times explains that she is actually placing the animals on a state of "tonic immobility".
Some animals can feign paralysis, essentially playing dead, as a defence mechanism when confronted by a threat such as a predator.
This state of immobility can be replicated by humans by placing the animal on its back.
