I spent £20k turning my baby into a prom queen

Minnie-Beau’s won 8 titles before the age of 2

SURROUNDED by frilly designer dresses and expensive heels, tiny Minnie-Beau could be in an exclusive boutique.

But this is the toddler’s bedroom and the outfits and shoes are all her own.

At 22 months old, Minnie-Beau has a £15,000 designer wardrobe and owns £1,000 of gold jewellery.

She has already won eight titles over four pageants, performing dance routines with her trademark pout.

Single mum Jas Sullivan spends an hour getting her ready for the shows. She says: “I try to stick to a bit of bronzer, some eyebrows, some mascara, maybe some fake eyelashes, a bit of lipstick and I do her hair.

“Sometimes if she’s getting tetchy I’ll give her a bit of ice cream or a teddy to hold — a little bit of bribery.”

Jas, from Plymouth, was 21 when she fell pregnant and was determined Minnie-Beau would want for nothing.

Before she was even born, Jas spent thousands on clothes, including a £350 christening dress. Her 300 other designer outfits include a corset-style dress, sophisticated furs and a ruffled two-piece bikini.

Jas says: “I’ve spent around £20,000 and she’s worth every penny. She is spoilt but she’s not a spoilt brat. She doesn’t wear any type of trousers and I certainly wouldn’t dream of putting her in jeans.”

Minnie-Beau took part in her first pageant, Miss South Coast in Dorset, when she was 18 months old.

She dazzled in outfits worth £600, including a white bikini and Union Jack crop top and skirt.

Jas, who has spent £1,500 on pageants, ignores critics who accuse her of sexualising her child. She says:

“That’s their sick thoughts, not mine. Haters are going to hate.

”The proud mum adds: “I afford Minnie’s clothes by working hard.

“I don’t go out drinking and wasting money. Minnie is my life and I’d spend anything to make her happy.”
