Dog walker’s shark shock on UK beach

Pooch Boris has never seen anything like it

A DOG walker has told of her shock after stumbling across a dead shark on a British beach.

Horrified Nikki Miller found the washed-up creature with “formidable teeth” while walking pooch Boris.
The mum spotted the massive fish in Hornsea, East Yorks., in a bathing spot popular with kids.

Speaking about the moment she saw the shark, Nikki said: “It is a bit worrying because my children were swimming in the sea here just a couple of weeks ago.

“I don’t know how dangerous it is but the teeth look formidable.”

It is thought the fish is a porbeagle shark which can grow up to 12 foot long.

Shark expert Andrew McLeod said it was a rare find.

The Assistant Curator at The Deep said: “It is quite unusual for them to wash up on the shores though.”
