Lad of 14 scorched with iron by gang

A BOY of 14 says he suffered horrific burns when a gang of yobs kidnapped him and branded him with a hot iron.

The lad, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, was scorched on his arms and back.

Four teenagers have been charged with kidnap and assault.

The victim was yesterday back home after being treated in hospital.

A family member in Oldham, Greater Manchester, said yesterday he had been the victim of a bullying campaign.

The relative added: “Someone saw he was in pain and discovered his burns. He went to hospital and eventually told us what happened.

“He’s been through a lot but is very strong.”

Four youths, three aged 15 and one 16, were remanded in custody by magistrates in Oldham on Friday.
